SHAREIN, the crowdfunding technology specialist, has trebled revenue to around £700,000 in its most recent financial year, boosted by a three-fold increase in its client roster. The company said its growth has brought with it an undisclosed level of profitability, allowing it to expand its team in Edinburgh to 17 from seven.

Clients secured included Triodos, the ethical bank, for which ShareIn launched a crowdfunding platform. The project was believed to be a first for UK banking.

ShareIn is also working with Lendahand Ethex, which has raised more than £2m for solar projects in Africa.
