A TAYSIDE social enterprise which aims to help young people and those facing barriers into employment has won £128,000 of funding.

The Workshop in Aberfeldy helps people gain confidence, and learn craft and design skills. It aims to support people in Highland Perthshire into employment or further training. Since its launch in 2014, 75% of its trainees have been under 25, and half have had additional support or rehabilitation needs.

The Workshop has received £39,000 from private investors and a further £25,000 from Social Investment Scotland, and £64,000 in match funding from the Big Lottery Fund.
