HERALD SCOTLAND has announced that Sandy Kennedy, chief executive of Entrepreneurial Scotland, will join the line-up for next month’s inaugural Intrapreneurial Conference in association with CivTech Scotland.

Mr Kennedy will be speaking throughout our Leadership Session covering Entrepreneur vs Intrapreneur: what’s the difference? This will offer an interesting debate during the conference.

He joins an array of high-profile speakers, including Lisa Dunlop, service manager, OD & Change, Stirling Council and Alexander Holt, head of CivTech Scotland.

Also speaking are Maria McGill, chief executive, CHAS and George McVerry, head of lifelong learning at City of Glasgow College.
Katy McNeil, intrapreneurial lead at CivTech, said: “In a disruptive world where competition is global, and citizens are increasingly demanding of services, the need for public and private sector organisations to create additional value is pressing.

“The rise of the intrapreneur, a person inside an organisation that can spot those opportunities, is the response. Intrapreneurship is a set of tools and a mindset that organisations across Scotland need to develop.”
Steve McCreadie, chief executive of The Lens, is supporting the event alongside SHIL (Scottish Health Innovations) and 200 SVS.

He said: “The Lens are proud to sponsor the first Intrapreneurial Conference in Scotland. We believe frontline staff have the ideas, passion and commitment to help make the most of the opportunities and challenges organisations are facing.”

The event takes place on Tuesday August 28 at 200 SVS, 200 St Vincent Street in Glasgow from 8.45am-3pm. To book your place, visit http://newsquestscotlandevents.com/events/intrapreneurialconference/ or call Kirsty Loughlin on 0141 302 6016.
