Holiday firm TUI, formerly Thomson, said it is to bolster its cabin crew numbers based at Aberdeen International Airport to meet demand for its popular holiday routes for next summer.

The firm said it would take on 20 new recruits and a recruitment campaign is under way to encourage trainee cabin crew members to join.

The company operates out of Aberdeen International Airport during the summer season between May and October and holidaymakers can fly to seven destinations including Ibiza, Corfu, Palma, Tenerife, Dalaman and Reus from May, with TUI later introducing a new summer route to Rhodes from Aberdeen.
