THE implications of Chancellor Philip Hammond’s Budget will be brought into focus at a special event being held by The Herald in Glasgow later this month.

The Herald’s Budget Briefing returns on Tuesday October 30, the morning after Mr Hammond reveals the contents of his red box to the House of Commons. A panel of experts, chaired by political commentator Iain Macwhirter, will assess the big issues and take questions from the floor.

Fraser Campbell, partner and head of family businesses at Campbell Dallas, said: “We are delighted once again to support The Herald’s Budget Briefing event and look forward to discussing the key highlights from the Chancellor’s forthcoming Budget with a local business audience to help provide the most relevant and up to date advice.”

Grant Johnston, partner and head of wealth planning at Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie said: “This is a critical yet uncertain time for the UK. Businesses and individuals will be anxiously waiting to see what this budget brings. The Herald’s Budget Briefing provides an opportunity to hear from the experts.”

The event, at 200 St Vincent Street, begins at 8am. To buy tickets, priced £10 plus VAT, visit http://newsquestscotlandevents.com/events/budget-briefing-breakfast/ Contact Nina Holmes on 0141 302 6036 or email nina.holmes@newsquest.co.uk for more information.
