Grant Bett and Martin Green
Glasgow-based M&D Green Group, one of Scotland’s largest independent pharmacy operators, has secured an eight-figure funding package from HSBC UK to aid its growth.
The deal includes a seven-figure loan which M&D Green Group has used to acquire Thomas McLean and Son’s five-unit pharmacy business.
The deal takes the group’s total number of pharmacies in Scotland to 23, and the group workforce to about 250.
Owner Martin Green said the firm has "ambitions to grow across Scotland" and Grant Bett of funder HSBC UK said it had "demonstrated clear plans" for growth.
