WOMEN’S Enterprise Scotland has unveiled its latest intake of ambassadors whom it hopes will inspire female-owned businesses around the country.

The new wave of 22 ambassadors include Emma Reid, director of Edinburgh-based Ergo Law, Rebecca Pick, chief executive of Pick Protection, Amanda Pickford of Stock Innovations, and Nathalie Agnew, managing director of Muckle Media.

The additions take to more than 60 the number of ambassadors assembled by WES across Scotland, with the group representing a broad range of sectors. Current ambassadors include Leah Hutcheon of Appointedd, Anja Baa of Great Glen Charcuterie, Lynn Mann of Supernature Oils and Becky Woodhouse of PURE Spa.

Women’s Enterprise Scotland said research shows accessible role models are seen as valuable in supporting women-led businesses to overcome challenges.

Carolyne Currie, chief executive of Women’s Enterprise Scotland, said: “There is a wealth of evidence showing the importance of role models for the development and aspirations of women-owned businesses. Our ambassador programme brings together the stories and experiences of over 60 female entrepreneurs from across Scotland, who see to inspire, motivate, engage and connect with women-led start-up and growth business.”
