OIL services giant Petrofac, which is a big employer in Scotland, has won extensions to North Sea contracts worth $32m (£25m) in total. The company said it has won a 12-month renewal of a contract to provide operations and maintenance support to Total on the Alwyn and Dunbar platforms, which lie around 260 miles north east of Aberdeen. Petrofac said it has also won a 12-month extension from a major International Oil Company covering work on another North Sea platform without providing details. The company noted it currently supports 45 assets in the North Sea.
