SCOTTISH entrepreneur Billy Allan’s Aliter Capital private equity vehicle has led a “significant investment” in Bolt Learning, the online training platform and content provider.

The deal sees Bolt chief executive Tamlin Roberts maintain his shareholding while facilitating an exit for other investors.

Founded by a group of seasoned support services experts and investors - Mr Allan, Greig Brown, Andy Galloway and Andrew Busby - Aliter is described as one of the first funds of its kind and focuses on small and mid-sized businesses in the UK support services sector, a market valued at over £300 billion.
