SCOTTISH start-up Daring Foods has secured a listing with foodservice giant Brakes, allowing its plant-based products to be stocked by thousands of outlets across the country.

Brakes, Scotland’s biggest catering firm, has become the first supplier of its kind to stock the full Daring range, meaning products such as meat-free mince, nuggets and burgers will now be available to more than 8,900 restaurants, cafes and hotels.

Daring founder Ross Mackay said: “The response to our products has been phenomenal – even the most militant meat-eaters struggle to tell the difference.”
