THE Scottish arm of the Institute of Directors (IoD) has revealed its new leader.

The business group announced today that Malcolm Cannon will take up the post of national director at IoD Scotland in September. Mr Cannon, who joins from Cricket Scotland and previously led both property firm ESPC and wellington boot brand Hunter, succeeds David Watt.

Mr Watt will step down later this summer following a 16-year tenure.

Aidan O’Carroll, chairman of IoD Scotland, said: “We are delighted that we have been able to attract someone like Malcom to the role. He has a great reputation for reinvigorating a brand and taking it to the widest possible audience.”
