ALDI is holding its first Spirits of Scotland Festival in a deal worth over £312,000 to the distilleries involved.

The event showcases a range of spirits from a selection of the country’s distilleries in all 87 Aldi stores in Scotland.

It said drinks range from botanical gins to rich spiced rums and fruity liqueurs.

Fiona Walsh, co-founder and director of Redcastle Spirits, said: “We view Aldi as being at the forefront in supporting smaller Scottish producers and really championing all that is fantastic about the Scottish food and drink scene at the moment.”

Graham Nicolson, of Aldi, said: “Scotland is justifiably renowned the world over for its superb distilleries and over the years, their offerings have become more and more diverse and adventurous.”
