ROYAL Bank of Scotland has highlighted its confidence in the growth prospects of a Perthshire resort and caravan park after providing a seven-figure funding package to its new owner, writes Ian McConnell.
Moness Resort and Aberfeldy Caravan Park employ more than 100 people from the local community. Family-run J&S McKenzie Group, owned by John and Steven McKenzie, highlighted its plans to upgrade the Moness Resort with the introduction of hot tubs and dog-friendly cottages for guests. It emphasised it would contract local businesses to carry out the work.

Moness Resort has been in operation for more than 30 years. It includes 106 self-catering cottages and a four-star hotel, as well as spa and leisure facilities.

Steven McKenzie, director of J&S McKenzie Group, said: “We…are pleased to now have the opportunity to enhance the resort, which is close to our hearts. We’ll also be able to further support the local community with refurbishment works by contracting local businesses. “
