THE search is on to find Scotland’s top law firms.

Now in their 15th year, the awards, organised by The Herald and supported by The Law Society of Scotland, McKinstry Practice Management Services, Stirling Park, HRC Recruitment and Millar & Bryce, aim to highlight the quality of work being undertaken by Scotland’s most respected lawyers. There are 24 awards up for grabs, including awards for Private Client Team, High Street Firm and Solicitor of the Year. Last year saw Shoosmiths LLP collect the Debt Recovery Team of the Year and Allan McDougall Solicitors awarded the Litigation Team of the Year. Ronnie Murison, director of Sheriff Officer Services at Stirling Park, said: “We are delighted to partner with the awards this year again, supporting both the Debt Recovery Firm of the Year and Litigation Firm of the Year. These categories have a direct association to the sheriff officer world and we are keen to see high achievers in their field recognised for their work in 2019.”

Insight Legal said: “Insight Legal is proud to sponsor this year’s ‘Law Firm of the Year’ Award category and recognise the vast contributions that firms are making to the legal profession in Scotland. We support many professionals in Scotland who strive for excellence and this category provides the region’s firms with a great opportunity to spotlight the commitment from staff to deliver exceptional client services. The Award’s industry pedigree will undoubtedly give the winner high standings amongst their counterparts, as well as celebrate both their practice’s vision and efforts in helping to drive the Scottish legal sector forward.”

Last year’s winners also included, Clyde & Co and Shepherd and Wedderburn. Entries must be submitted by Tuesday, October 8 via http://newsquestscotlandevents.com/events/lawawards/
