A PLANNING application by S1 Developments for the Skyliner site in Leith has been granted.

The City of Edinburgh Council development management sub-committee voted in favour of a 338 apartment Build-to-Rent scheme on a brownfield site at Ocean Drive on the edge of Albert Dock.

A previous application for 245 units was approved by councillors in December 2018. The buildings are 14 and 10 storeys.

The Skyliner development is described as being well located for transportation links around Edinburgh, including the anticipated phase II tram line.

Provision for 71 on-site car parking spaces has also been made, including six accessible spaces, 12 electric charge points and two city car club spaces. It also has 708 cycle spaces.
