PLANS have been submitted for the development of the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland in Renfrewshire.

Led by the Scottish Government and its enterprise and skills agencies, University of Strathclyde and Renfrewshire Council, it is situated at the centre of the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland.

The carbon-neutral facility next to Glasgow Airport will include a skills academy and a digitalised “factory of the future”.
