Mr Campbell said that “2020 has started with clearer direction”, adding: “The Budget will give the new majority government their platform to outline what the year ahead looks like with a focus on more than just Brexit, which has dominated the headlines.”

Mr Johnston said: “Given this will be Britain’s first Budget as a non-EU member state in over 40 years, it’s guaranteed to be an interesting one.

“The Budget Briefing will be a fantastic opportunity to network with other business people and to hear from some of Scotland’s leading industry experts.”

Mr Clark said: “With this first Budget for a post-Brexit UK, we await with interest to see what the Chancellor will announce to allow both businesses and families to start planning for the future with more certainty.”
