THE Impact Summit that was due to be held in Glasgow to highlight businesses that are working to help tackle challenges such as climate change is being moved online in response to the Covid-19 coronavirus crisis.

The summit will be held online on May 20. The organiser of the summit, FutureX, had originally planned to stage the event at the SWG3 venue.

FutureX chief executive Bruce Walker said: “While people are not able to meet in person, we are doing everything we can to ensure that key conversations still take place and businesses get the help they need."

The decision to move the summit online was backed by Sir Tom Hunter. The Ayrshire entrepreneur's charitable foundation provides support for the summit.
