MACKIE’S Crisps has listed the retailers from which “the first crisps to be inspired by Scotland’s famous Lorne square sausage” can be bought.

Only 150,000 bags of Lorne sausage and brown sauce crisps will be made, with listings in Scotmid already, Aldi from June 29, Sainsbury from July 8, Tesco from August 20, and SPAR from this week. Mackie’s Crisps said a listing with the British Corner Shop online site, which can ship worldwide, "means those throughout the UK can sample the flavour”.

Mackie’s Crisps are made by Mackie’s at Taypack, a joint venture between Mackie’s of Scotland and the Taylor family’s Perthshire potato farming business.
