FAMILY-owned Scottish distiller Arbikie has signed an agreement that will see its Tattie Bogle potato vodka go on sale across the Canadian province of Ontario, writes Ian McConnell.

The “substantial distribution deal” with SGWS, a Canadian drinks importer, will see the Angus distillery’s vodka go on sale in Liquor Control Board of Ontario outlets.

The vodka is named after the potato scarecrows which once stood sentry over potato fields.

Arbikie uses the Maris Piper, King Edward and Cultra potato varieties, all grown on the family farm.
