Scullion LAW exclusively run an annual free Will writing campaign in aid of Marie Curie Scotland. They are the only law firm in Scotland to support the charity in this way and have done so successfully for the last 6 years. In recognition of this, the community focused firm, recently won a national award for their Fundraising Excellence after raising over £230,000 worth of future income for the charity.
Matthew Reed, CEO of Marie Curie UK s comments ‘Over the past 6 years Scullion LAW have helped more than 1000 people across Scotland to write a Will, raising an incredible amount of future income for Marie Curie through gifts left. I would like to thank Scullion LAW for extending their free Will writing offer to Marie Curie colleagues, particularly during this time when their passion, love and care have never been needed more to allow them to write or update their Wills. On behalf of Marie Curie, a heartfelt thank you for all you do and congratulations on your well –deserved award’.
Every £20 pays for one hour of vital care for people dying from a terminal illness like cancer, dementia, MND and Parkinson’s.
Despite a national lockdown, the lawyers successfully prepared over 300 free Wills electronically for people living across Scotland in return for a small gift or donation to Marie Curie.
The Scullion LAW campaign is crucial to the success Marie Curie. The charity recently launched an urgent appeal looking for help. In addition to this, Scullion LAW extended their services to carers and NHS workers in Scotland as a special thanks for all they do. Over 100 key workers signed up.

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
