THE developer behind contemporary office space The Garment Factory in Glasgow has started work on a range of ‘plug and play’ suites as tenant needs change amid the continuing pandemic.

Castleforge Partners say the 12 new suites will transform the ground and basement levels of the building, with each suite able to accommodate 10 to 12 people. The suites, which range from 247sq ft to 764sq ft in size, are scheduled to be completed in November.

The developer notes the offices will feature high-quality and contemporary finishes throughout, with high ceilings, suspended LED lighting and full-height industrial glazing to maximise natural daylight. It said each will come with IT services, furniture, plants and artwork, “allowing businesses to simply plug in and instantly commence work”.

Rachael Pittaway at Castleforge Partners said: “We wanted to take the hassle out of finding a place to work and make it a seamless and easy experience for our occupiers, meaning they can spend their time focusing on their business, not the complexities of project managing a construction site. We took things a step further here and created stunning offices that are ready to occupy from day one. Maximum flexibility can be provided, whether it is a desk, an office or a new HQ, we can now provide an office for businesses of every size.”

Castleforge said it is also working on new communal facilities that prioritise safety.

Building manager Jo Moroney said: “We have tried to think of every possible detail to make our occupiers feel safe and comfortable in this brand new space, whether it be multiple entry points, touch-free access systems or spacious desk layouts. “
