Scottish craft beer social enterprise Brewgooder, which has since 2016 funded more than 130 clean water projects in Malawi for in excess of 65,000 people, has appointed two non-executive directors.

The new board members are Helen Thompson, who oversaw the European operations of buy-one-give-one shoe brand TOMS for four years as managing director, and Nicolle Sinclair, former group head of talent at BrewDog.

Alan Mahon, Brewgooder’s co-founder, said: “Both of these additions are a statement of our intent to become an internationally recognised beer brand built on purpose.”

He added: “Helen has delivered impact at scale through TOMS, and Nicolle has built teams across the globe that know how to make big things happen in the brewing industry. Together they will help us execute the ambitious plans we have for growth in 2021 and beyond.”
