THE University of Strathclyde has appointed eight “senior enterprise fellows”, including clinical research veteran Rabinder Buttar and former Skyscanner chief operating officer Mark Logan, to help create a “world-leading entrepreneurship ecosystem”, writes Ian McConnell.
It declared its ambition to help ”inspire the next generation of entrepreneurially minded graduates, researchers and academics” with the appointments.

The university said the fellows would play a key role in delivering its entrepreneurship strategy to 2025, unveiled in November, creating the ecosystem it envisions and developing “a state-of-the-art entrepreneurship hub in Glasgow City Innovation District, which will support post-pandemic economic recovery”.

Also appointed senior enterprise fellows are Neil Logan, co-founder and chief executive of Incremental Group, University of Strathclyde visiting professor John Waddell, Homes for Good executive director Susan Aktemel, Graven founding director Janice Kirkpatrick, founder and curator for TEDxGlasgow Gurjit Singh Lalli, and investor and National Theatre of Scotland board member Ian Ritchie. Rabinder Buttar is founder and president of Clintec International.
