International law firm CMS has announced five partner promotions in Scotland as part of its largest-ever round of partner promotions globally.

From its Edinburgh office, employment lawyer Catriona Aldridge and real estate specialist Claire Wallis have made the step up to partner level. They are joined by Glasgow-based colleagues Mike McColl, also in real estate, construction law specialist Christopher Dickson and intellectual property expert Neeraj Thomas.

The Scottish appointments are among 52 partner promotions spanning 22 cities across Europe, Latin America and Africa. CMS, which has more than 4,800 lawyers in 70 offices around the world, cemented its presence in Scotland through the 2014 merger with Scottish law firm Dundas and Wilson.
