This year’s Young Enterprise Scotland’s Festival of Youth Enterprise is a week-long event celebrating the resilience, creativity, and entrepreneurial achievements of Scotland’s young people alongside those who have supported them unwaveringly over the past year through their enterprise learning.

From 1 – 4 June, there will be a range of online events including award ceremonies, enterprise challenges for both primary and secondary schools and a showcase of young talent, which can be accessed by visiting the website Festival of Youth Enterprise 2021 by Young Enterprise Scotland (heysummit.com).

The 16 finalists of this year’s Company Programme will find out the winning team who will represent Scotland in the UK finals on Tuesday 1 June. On the same night, Scotland’s first winners of the Team Programme, an enterprise journey for students who have mild to moderate learning difficulties, will also be announced.

Day two is a chance for everyone to get involved in one of two digital challenges, #TogetherForOurPlanet, designed with COP26 in mind to encourage young people to come up with a product, service or tech solution that tackles the global climate emergency.

There is also a session to celebrate the educators, staff and schools across Scotland committed to enterprise learning, with Scotland’s Enterprising Schools Awards 2021.

Day 3 is dedicated to Scotland’s 17 further education colleges and this year YE Scotland has given the opportunity to present the Bridge 2 Business awards ceremony to City of Glasgow College HND Television student, Alyx Ross.

The final day brings everything together in a panel discussion, “Enterprise Matters”.
