Glasgow Science Centre’s online science festival about climate change will take place 29 September - 1 October and everyone aged seven and upwards is invited.

Curious About Our Planet will help people uncover the impact of climate change and discover how they can contribute to a more sustainable planet.

The festival is a three-day extravaganza of environment-themed live and interactive talks, exhibitions, hands on activities and more.

Glasgow Science Centre’s team has designed the festival as an introduction to the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26), which is happening in the city in November.

There will be live, interactive sessions on “What is COP26” and a chance to chat with big employers on what the green jobs of the future might be, and how to get one.

Experts in seabirds and offshore energy will also answer questions, share tips and explain how people can get involved.

Stephen Breslin, chief executive of Glasgow Science Centre, said: “Curious About Our Planet will entertain and inspire everyone aged seven and upwards.

“Climate change, and how we tackle it, is at the forefront of everyone’s minds in the run up to COP26.

“Our online festival will help introduce people to some of the issues at stake in a friendly, accessible way. It will also help them understand the big, or small, changes they could make to help tackle these.

“We want to inspire people in Glasgow and across the UK to get excited about COP26 and understand their role in improving our planet’s future.”

Curious About Our Planet is free to everyone.  Find out more and register for updates at https://curiousabout.glasgowsciencecentre.org/.
