UP TO 20,000 people across Scotland will be able to learn new skills including digital technology, finance and design through free digital learning.

The digitally enabled learning platform from Skills Development Scotland, backed by the Scottish Government, gives anyone 25 or over access to LinkedIn Learning and FutureLearn courses and is to help the recovery from the pandemic.

The Herald:

David Coyne, of Skills Development Scotland, said: “This is an opportunity for people to enhance their existing skills or try something new.

“People can opt for digital learning in areas of high demand for skills such as financial modelling, software development, sales and project management.

“Others are opting to develop their careers skills including overcoming self-doubt, IT foundations or improving their leadership skills around diversity and sustainability.”

Barry McCulloch, the Federation of Small Businesses head of policy in Scotland, said despite the challenges firms face "many are looking to grow and build their capacity".
