The certification, awarded by B Lab, recognizes ThermaFY's dedication to pursuing purpose alongside profit, reflecting the company's mission to guide residential homeowners in the UK towards greater energy efficiency using innovative technology and simple measures.
Founder of ThermaFY Group, Amanda Pickford, explains, "Being awarded B Corp certification further demonstrates the way ThermaFY is determined to show its commitment to doing the right thing for customers, employees, and stakeholders." The certification process is rigorous, covering the entire scope of a company's operations across five impact areas, including Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers. Applicants are required to provide evidence of socially and environmentally responsible practices and reach a benchmark score of over 80, ThermaFY are proud to have achieved a score of 105, 25 points higher than similar B Corps of our size and country.
ThermaFY Group's B Corp certification is a notable step forward, particularly given recent concerns surrounding rising energy costs for homeowners across the UK. By becoming part of a global community of 6,279 B Corps, ThermaFY joins the likes of well-known brands such as The Guardian, innocent, Patagonia, and The Body Shop, in demonstrating a shift towards greater accountability and transparency in the sector.
