It's finally arrived - Cara Delevingne's collection for Mulberry has hit stores worldwide!
After the utterly elegant unveiling of this creative collaboration at London's iconic Claridges' ballroom in February the Mulberry Cara Delevingne AW14 collection is now available to shop.
Following previous styles inspired by Alexa Chung and Lana Del Ray, Delevingne is the third high profile celebrity to have a Mulberry bag named after her, only this time she is not only muse but has worked very closely with Mulberry to design a whole collection of accessories.
Delevingne's obsessed over every detail of this collection and determined each element of the design, from the right straps and buckles to the combination of Mulberry's signature hardware and her own unique touches. She visited archives, chose leathers, sketched ideas, discussed customers' practical needs and the trend for understated elegance.
The collection features a three in one capsule bag available in three sizes, embracing Mulberry's attitude to functional beauty - a bag that can take you anywhere. It can be worn on the back: for running from the gym to work, or from train to plane. It can be worn on the shoulder: taking you from work to dinner, or from the town to the country. It can be hand-held: for maximum elegance at all times or when you need to rise to the occasion. There are three different finishes: classic natural leather, quilted nappa leather and innovative camouflage calf hair. There is also an extra limited edition version featuring lion head rivets inspired by Delevingne's lion tattoo on her finger. All bags from the collection are made in Somerset and stamped with the 'Made in England' motif referencing another tattoo the model has on the sole of her foot bearing the same words.
Ahead of the launch Mulberry released a short film showing Delevingne taking a trip to the Rookery, Mulberry's flagship factory in Somerset. The film documents how involved she was with this latest Mulberry collaboration from the initial concept through design amends to production. She collaborated with the Mulberry team throughout the creative journey and the film shows her obsessing over every detail of the collection and determining each element of the design. Visit the Mulberry site to watch the film.
When asked who would like the Mulberry Cara Delevingne Bag, the iconic British supermodel replied: "My Granny will like this bag. She's one hundred and two-years-old. My five-year-old cousin will probably like this bag. He's a boy. This is a bag for everyone."

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
