Famous for her homage to art-deco bold prints, vibrant colour and heavy doses of crystals, Scottish designer Holly Fulton has been showing at London Fashion Week since 2009. The Holly Fulton x River Island collection is the final collaboration of the retailer’s Design Forum. Since launching in 2012, 11 designers and artists joined forces with River Island to create one-of-a-kind collections making designer luxury accessible on the high street.

When asked to describe the collection, Fulton comments it all started with “party girls through the ages. Baba Beaton from the 20s, Biba girls in the 70s and Kate Moss in the 90s… high on life and champagne, our ladies like to have fun.”

Being at the forefront of innovative print design, Fulton’s aesthetic has a distinctive finesse. The 13-piece collection oozes decadence, elements of pop-art and enticement that “attracts someone fun, confident, who loves colour and appreciates the detail and workmanship in each piece.”

Fulton was presented with the ELLE Next Young Designer Award at the start of her career almost ten years ago and is now known for her magpie-instincts. Her key forefront pieces of the collection include the shearling jacket embezzled with gems, pastel contrasting sequin dress and her favourite piece, a decadent embellished body suit.

The Holly Fulton x River Island collection launches Friday 16th February 2018 online and in selected River Island stores with prices ranging from £25 - £300.
