This is shrewd thinking as traditionally most form of adapters have been flimsy and poorly constructed from plastic and rubber which means they are susceptible to heat warping during sustained usage.
The device allows any USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 laptop's display to be mirrored or extended onto an external monitor via HDMI. This output can be either 1080p or 4K resolutions for crystal clear details.
An electrical pass through system enables gadgets and laptops to be quickly charged while the integrated smart LED indicator lets you know when the charge is complete.
An additional USB-C and USB 3.0 port gives data transfer rates of up to 5 Gbps which is ideal when dealing with multiple devices such as smartphones and cameras.
Bad points?
Moshi do similar adapters that include SD card readers which, if added here, would have made this the only port adapter anyone would need. Although the product is well rounded and provides great functionality it could be considered a tad pricey.

Anyone with limited peripheral ports on their laptop and who require more to connect additional devices. Those who travel will also appreciate the sleek portable design.
Avoid if ...
Your computer does not support USB-C as this is the only method of connection.
