What is it?

A smart programmable wall-panel lighting solution.

Good Points?

The system is well designed with each of the nine light squares fitting together perfectly flush, so no gaps can ruin your pattern. This is made possible by the tiny canvas linkers which hold the pieces in place and provide the power.

Although the starter pack of nine panels won't illuminate an entire room like a traditional lamp, the brightness is impressive, and all eyes are immediately transfixed to the light display on the wall.

You can programme the colour pattern as desired via a smartphone app along with touch commands from your hand. A built-in rhythm mode provides a dancing light show to any music you play which is great for parties.

The system is also compatible with most smart home controllers including Apple Siri, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

Bad points?

A lack of an accompanying alignment tool makes it tricky to get the panels even and a spirit level is needed in most cases. The panels are 15cm x 15cm which isn't big compared to most walls, so you may have to purchase more packs to construct an elaborate design.

Best for ...

Those who want to jazz up a bland wall with a bit of light and more control over a traditional lamp or smart bulb. It creates a great ambiance in smaller rooms.

Avoid if ...

You want more lighting bang for your buck as the panels can't complete with a bulb for directional light.

Score: 8/10.
