STYLE AND SUBSTANCE

The Novotel is a stylish hotel in the city centre of Glasgow. The hotel creates a good first impression with its welcoming reception and quick check in facilities. There is a choice of standard. Superior and executive rooms along with a state-of-the-art fitness studio, sauna and steam room.

SLEEPING MATTERS

The superior room is spacious with a Queen bed, television, Bluetooth speaker, tea and coffee making facilities and dressing table. The bathroom is stocked with fair trade toiletries and the shower boasts a wonderful rainfall showerhead (which made for an amazing shower.) Given the busy location on Pitt Street I was surprised at how quiet it was during the night.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

If you don't want to venture out, the hotel has its own restaurant that showcases local and international cuisines and the bar has a range of beers, wines and cocktails. The breakfast buffet offers a wide selection of hot food, fruit, pastries and continental options. The highlight was the pancake machine it makes two hot pancakes in front of you that you can top with a variety of goodies.

DRINK IN THE SIGHTS

Perfect location for King's Theatre. If you are looking for culture then head to the west end where you will find the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, the Botanic Gardens and the vibrant Ashton Lane that hosts a treasure trove of trendy bars and restaurants.

NIGHTLIFE

The hotel is a short walk to Sauchiehall Street that offers plenty of late bars and clubs for those who want to party late into the night.

NICE TOUCH

The hand-written chocolate brownie plate in our bedroom was an unexpected treat.

ABOUT THE AREA

Located just off the M8 at Charring Cross the hotel is in walking distance of the SSE Hydro, the city centre and the West End, making it a great choice for concert goers, business trips and overnights.
