It is no secret that veganism is on the rise and shoppers are becoming so much more aware of the environmental impact that fast fashion has on the planet. Many high street retailers are also recognizing the need for more vegan fashion, and Topshop have taken their first steps by releasing an 100% vegan footwear range.

Available from 10th April 2019, the collection consists of six designs made from 100% non-animal products. The range has a style to suit everyone, from chunky heels to beach ready sandals.  It features a timeless neutral palette consisting of snake, croc, nude, toffee, orange, black and white across 12 options.

“We are really excited to be launching our first vegan collection this April. Initially we’re focusing on footwear and introducing six new styles that are produced alongside our premium shoe lines in Spain. We can’t wait to see how shoppers respond to the design-led collection and how far we can push vegan products across our accessories offering.” says Maddy Evans, Fashion Director, Topshop.

The collection is PETA approved and is handmade in Spain. It is completely vegan friendly, made from non-animal and non-fish glue and each pair of shoes will be packed into a box that also contains no animal products.

Prices for the collection range from £42 - £59 and it will be available from selected Topshop stores across the UK and Ireland. The range can also be purchased at Selfridges in London and online as well as other online retailers Zalando, The Iconic, La Moda, Yoox and Namshi.
