Edinburgh Christmas Market

It’s never too early to get into the Christmas spirit, especially when the Edinburgh Christmas markets open its doors. Nestled in the heart of the city centre, it’s a must-see if you’re in the capital this festive season. There’s a variety of stalls, from Christmas gifts, to sweet treats and everything in between. Heat yourself up with a cup of mulled wine or a hot chocolate and sample your favourite food stalls.

St Enoch Christmas Market

The St Enoch Christmas Market is bursting with Christmas classics. Along with the traditional classics like mulled wine there’s also some unusual stalls. The Chimney Cake stand sells traditional Romanian desserts. The Toast Your Own Marshmallow stall, you guessed it, lets you toast your own marshmallows – a guaranteed family favourite. There’s a variety of food stalls too, including the French Kitchen, German Swing Grill and Wok Man Chinese Street Food.

Dundee Festive Market

Dundee’s biggest Festive Market is hosted by the Women’s Business Station. The market showcases the talent from almost 100 local businesses featuring everything from wine and chocolate to beauty products. Not only can you get a bit of shopping done, there’s a number of workshops throughout the weekend including candle and wreath making and even T-shirt designing.

George Square Christmas Market

Another much-loved market is the George Square Christmas Market which features over 50 traders from around the world. With a vintage Helter Skelter and carousel there’s plenty to do in between browsing the stalls. After a long day of shopping, sit back and relax in the authentic German bars on offer and enjoy the Christmas lights

Aberdeen Christmas Village

The Aberdeen Christmas Village returns for its third year. There’s an open-air ice rink to have a go on and visitors can marvel at the backdrop of Marischal College. There’s also a selection of fairground rides and attractions. Have a dance at the Friends of ANCHOR Silent Disco Adventure or visit Santa in his grotto before sampling some of the festive food and drink stalls.
