Royal High 0,

Stewart's Melville 35

STEWART'S Melville were in a different class from their city rivals as

they strolled to victory with seven tries in last night's River Series

Trophy match at Cramond.

Having gone ahead after 14 minutes through a Scott Dickson drop goal,

they were always in command and added further first-half points through

tries by Simon Frame, after a scrum five, and Andy Scott following a

fine handling movement.

In the second half, as High's defence finally succumbed to the

pressure and the game became more and more one-sided, Stewart's Melville

scored further tries by Graham Ellis, Malcolm Lowes (2), Ian Duguid and

David Lowes, with Andy Scott and Harry Lawrie adding a conversion

apiece.
