GLASGOW Tigers' future could be decided at a meeting of the club's supporters on Sunday.
Tigers did not race last season but a consortium led by former promoter Neil Macfarlane is hoping to revive the club ahead of the 1977 season.
Macfarlane has called a meeting of all supporters at Shawfield on Sunday evening and said yesterday: ``Anyone feeling secure in the knowledge that Tigers are definitely back and running are very much mistaken.
``A final decision will not be taken until after this meeting. This is the very last chance for the sport to return to Glasgow and if it does not run next season I do not see it ever running again.''

THE board of the Dutch football association (KNVB) resigned yesterday as the row continued over the sale of exclusive television rights to failed Dutch sports channel Sport7. The board decided last week to step down but were asked by 34 of the 36 professional clubs to stay on despite the closure of Sport7, plagued by poor viewing figures and wrangles over broadcasting rights.
The KNVB sold exclusive rights for Dutch league soccer to Sport7 in a seven-year deal worth over one billion guilders, but this was then challenged in the courts by league heavyweights Feyenoord and Ajax. KNVB chairman Jos Staatsen had indicated the board would resign if it did not have the backing from all clubs.

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
