BOB Leitch, a retired banker, is to become the director of Scottish Chambers of Commerce later this year. Since leaving Royal Bank of Scotland in 1996, he has been executive director of the Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Scottish Chambers said Leitch, 58, would serve an initial two-year term after taking over from Lex Gold, 61, sometime before the end of August. Gold, chairman of the Scottish Premier League and a non-executive director of Caledonian MacBrayne, plans to step down in November.
