A 27-year-old man appeared in court yesterday charged with murdering schoolgirl Helen Gorrie six years ago. Mr John Anthony Mark Corcoran is accused of killing 15-year-old Helen near her home in the village of Horndean, near Portsmouth, Hampshire, between July 30 and August 2, 1992. Jobless Corcoran, of Havant, Hampshire, is also charged with raping a 14-year-old girl between September 1 1990 and December 1 1990.
