Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has become the latest famous fan to announce his support for a Rangers fan group which is backing an attempt to remove the current board.
Ramsay, who once had trials with the Ibrox club, confirmed he had joined Rangers First, which is supporting former director Dave King in his efforts to gain control of the club.
When asked to support the cause a spokesman on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, the star of Channel 4's Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares replied simply: "Ok done."
He joins a number of other stars including Vladimir Weiss, Alex Rae, Richard Gough, Jorg Albertz, Claudio Reyna and Nacho Novo in stating their support.
Rangers First formed in February last year and began buying shares in June.
The group supports businessman Dave King's efforts to remove the current board at the Rangers extraordinary general meeting in London next month. Efforts are under way to find an alternative venue after a hotel, where it had originally been due to be held, pulled out.
It currently has a 1.7 per cent shareholding in the club and a spokesman for the group said they were delighted the chef was joining them.
Rangers First currently has around 9,500 members and aims to secure a 10 per cent shareholding of the club's stock which will allow fan representation on a new board.
Spokesman Ricki Neill said: "Rangers First continues to go from strength to strength and we are delighted to welcome Gordon Ramsay to our group.
"Our organisation has has captured the imagination of supporters and ex players from around the world in recent weeks and I thank Gordon signing up.
"We are hoping to secure 10,000 members ahead of next month's general meeting and support from high profile supporters like Gordon Ramsay will undoubtedly help raise our profile."
On Friday night, there were protests outside Ibrox over the running of the club by the board before the club's 2-0 defeat to Hibs in the Championship. There have been similar demonstrations at other games this season.
