A Glasgow photographer is to launch his inaugural solo exhibition, just three years after his graduation.

Stewart Bryden, 28, studied at Glasgow's Metropolitan College and the University of the West of Scotland before landing a job as an assistant to Ryan McGinley -  a US photographer whose achievements include receiving the Young Photographer Infinity Award by the International Center of Photography.

Bryden has previously shot for a number of global brands including Reiss, Dr Martens, Harris Tweed and Asos.

His exhibition, Something Manly, will comprise a selection of male portraits including models, musicians, and fellow photographers.

Speaking of the show, held in Edinburgh men's lifestyle store The Brotique, Bryden hinted that its location was complicit to the exhibition's theme.

He said:  "I have been working with The Brotique for a while and three months ago they suggested a solo show. It seemed like the perfect environment to showcase these prints.

"It's a celebration of men, a collection of male portraits and commissioned works I have done over the course of my career so far."

Something Manly will run 25 April - 10 May at The Brotique, 39 Queen Street, Edinburgh E2 3NH.
