The Scottish Liberal Democrats have caused controversy on social media after launching a website hitting out at the SNP as part of their general election campaign.

The SNP.fail site was launched by the party on Sunday, April 19.

The site targets the SNP's record on health, the economy, civil liberties, Environment & Housing and includes a reworked version of the SNP's 'Stronger for Scotland' election campaign logo.

It also includes a page where visitors can sign up to the Liberal Democrats campaign and a Your #SNPfail section that states: "There are many more clangers that the SNP have dropped which we just didn't have time to list on this site. There are only 24 hours in a day afterall!"

The site has been criticised on social media, with users claiming it is a waste of money.

However, some Twitter users have backed the site.
