Cops hunting a thug who attacked a shopkeeper have issued CCTV images of a man they want to quiz.
Detectives believe the man in the pictures may hold vital information about the incident at Arkar Grocers in Dennistoun.
The 30-year-old shop worker suffered serious facial injuries during the attack and was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
Police said the man they want to speak to is described as white and around 6ft tall.
He was wearing a dark coloured waterproof jacket, blue jeans and white trainers.
It happened at around 2.45pm on Sunday January 3 at the store in Ark Lane.
Detective Sergeant Andrea Templeton, from London Road CID, said: "This was a particularly violent assault on a man who was at his work and inquiries are continuing to find whoever is responsible.
"I would appeal to anyone who recognises the man in the images to contact police as we believe he may have information that could assist with our inquiries.
"Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact officers at London Road CID on 101."
