A 15-YEAR-OLD boy has been arrested following hoax calls to schools in Clydebank and Lanarkshire.

Police said the boy was arrested earlier today and a report would be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

A spokesman said his arrest followed “a number” of hoax calls last week.

The teenager is the third to be arrested over hoax calls after a 16-year-old boy was arrested following hoax calls to Cumnock Academy and Auchinleck Academy on June 1.

Earlier in the month, a 15-year-old boy was arrested after hoax calls were made to schools in Glasgow, Clydebank, Campeltown and Lanarkshire.
