Body of woman found in the canal at Maryhill Locks
THE body of a woman has been recovered from the Forth and Clyde canal in Maryhill.
Police were alerted at 3.40pm on Wednesday to the spot near to Collina Quadrant and Maryhill Locks where the body was found.
Police say the woman has yet to be formally identified.
A post mortem is to take place in due course to establish her exact cause of death, which is not being treated as suspicious "at this time", say police.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
