Glasgow will launch their Heineken Cup quest by going head-to-head with former club hero Francisco Leonelli's new team.

The Argentinian yesterday completed his signing for Saracens and one of his first high profile games is likely to be against Glasgow on the European stage, when the sides clash in their pool opener at Vicarage Road in November.

Saracens director Alan Gaffney said: "Francisco's a player we have been keeping an eye on for some time. "He adds strength and balance to the squad and is a very powerful and strong runner. He is recognised as being a full-back, but he can also play on the wing or even at outside centre."

Meanwhile, the SRU will decide today if their their dispute with Edinburgh must be fought out in court.

Edinburgh failed to meet Friday night's SRU-set deadline for repayment of £1.4m in advance funding and they risk being forced out of the Heineken Cup and Magners League if they no longer remain affiliated to the ruling body.
