Glasgow Warriors supporters will be able to enjoy a drink as they cheer on their side at their new Firhill home, writes David Kelso.

Officials at the pro team have been granted a special licence by the city council which allows spectators to have a drink while watching the action this season, starting with tonight's warm-up clash with Newcastle Falcons.

Drink will be available in the concession kiosks inside the Jackie Husband Stand and season ticket holders will have access to their own bar inside the main stand before kick-off. They will be joined by members of the playing squad after the game.

The coach, Sean Lineen, has included all seven available summer signings to face the Falcons. "It will be a big test for us before we travel down to Wasps for our final pre-season game next Thursday," he said
