Church On The Hill

Motherwell Concert Hall 

Make your 2018 festive night shine, with Christmas Party Nights at Motherwell Concert Hall; running 7pm- 1am, on Friday 7 Dec, Saturday 8 Dec, Friday 14 Dec, Saturday 15 Dec, or Friday 21 Dec.

The renowned entertainment venue, which has booked the likes of Dr Hook, Primal Scream, The Proclaimers, and The Searchers is now taking bookings for your 2018 Christmas night out!

With a hall that boasts a 1,600 person capacity (standing) there is plenty of room to dance the night away with your loved ones at Motherwell Concert Hall! And with a recent £170,000 investment in state-of-the-art sound equipment, the venue is sure to get you in the party spirit!

Motherwell Concert Hall Christmas Party Nights start with a sparkling reception, offering guests a choice of fizz or festive cocktail. Guests are then treated to a three course meal, music from a live band and finally a set from DJ Stephen Elliott.

Bands featuring in Christmas Party Nights include The Kicks on 7, 14 and 21 of Dec, Aurora on 8 Dec, and Three Card Trick on 15 December.

Menus for the Christmas Party Nights include the choice of Festive Broth or Chicken Liver Pate for Starter; Roast Turkey, Slow Beef Braised Steak or Chickpea Curry for main; and Christmas Pudding or Cheesecake for dessert. The full menu can be viewed at culturenl.co.uk

Christmas Party Nights are £45 per person, but can be secured with a £15 per person deposit.

Full payment is due with completed menu choice, 6 weeks prior to the event. Tickets will be issued after full payment and completed menu selection has been received.

Stravaigin

‘Stravaig’ is an old Scots word meaning ‘to wander’ which encompasses this Gibson Streets establishment’s ethos of ‘Think Global, Eat Local’ ethos perfectly. So wander off the beaten path into either the street level cafe bar or the downstairs restaurant where you’ll find menus showcasing Scottish produce that isn’t tethered to its roots.

The Herald:

Alongside a cracking turkey dinner with all the trimmings, you’ll find inspiration from all continents on their festive menu with highlights including korean pork and sesame terrine, pickled vegetables, soy emulsion, rice crisp and Shetland hake,lime leaf and coriander dahl, dukkah, sprout leaves. To finish why not try Basque custard cake, stewed apple, cinnamon ice cream.

Vegan, vegetarians and kids will also find themselves well catered for.

After your meal in the restaurant, head upstairs to gather around the roaring pub fire and enjoy one (or two…) for road. Friday and Saturday night will see the licence extending to 2am!
