Colleagues of MP Ross Thomson said they were "worried" about potential stress the Scots politician was under over Brexit.
And they said it was important that Tory party bosses should move to support the member for Aberdeen South if he needed it.

One Tory MP said: "I have been worried about Ross. He has been under a lot of pressure with the workload and Brexit."
Another backbencher explained: "When something like this happens, you realise how little support there is for people expand under stress. This is a very stressful place.
"We have to make sure MPs are looked after."
The MP for Aberdeen South was said to be involved in an incident at Strangers' Bar in parliament last night.
It was reported that an allegedly intoxicated Thomson was removed from the pub.

The report claims that the MP was led out of the bar several times before police were called and he was taken away.
Met Police said they were called to a bar in the Commons at around 11pm following "a report of sexual touching" involving three men.
A Scottish Conservative spokesman added: "We are aware of reports of an incident last night and the matter is being looked into. We have no further comment to make at this stage."
